Who Are We?

The Reform Temple of Rockland is a warm and friendly Reform Jewish Congregation 25 minutes north of Manhattan in Upper Nyack, NY. Our community is inclusive to Jewish families, Interfaith families, without bias based on traditional family stereotypes. Our members are from diverse religious, cultural, family and geographic backgrounds. Our congregants make deep and long-lasting friendships, celebrating joyous occasions together, and supporting each other in times of need. Our clergy is accessible to all members as sources of inspiration, teachers of Torah, and providers of comfort.

The Reform Temple of Rockland invites you to learn more about becoming a member. No one is ever denied membership because of inability to pay. Our programs and activities are designed to fulfill congregants’ interests, strengthen the community, and promote social justice.

We are seeking people in search of a Jewish community, people who want a place to grow with the congregation, people who need a place to pray, participate, enjoy. We are looking for people who want an inclusive Jewish atmosphere, that is welcome and open to all families.

What Do We Ask of Our Members?

We ask our members to participate in our synagogue and community life as they are moved and as they are able. There are many opportunities to get involved, whether in prayer, as a volunteer, or through many of our committees that run different programs for our community.
